The 4th Annual G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time) Sheep & Goat Festival is back and better than ever! On Saturday, September 28, 2024, you'll want to make your way to the New River Valley Fairgrounds for a day of family fun, farm animals, and all things baaa-rilliant!
Hosted by the NRV Sheep n’ Goat Club, this free festival isn’t just for animal lovers—though with fluffy sheep and energetic goats, they might steal the show! You’ll find something for everyone Saturday, from live music, local vendors that offer amazing creations made from wool and goat milk, and even fun contests like the Help Bo Peep Find Her Lost Purple Sheep.

Other activities visitors can expect include: hands-on demonstrations like sheep and goat shearing, goat milking, yarn spinning, and the crowd-favorite herding dog demos! Furthermore, you can spend your time at the petting zoo, kids’ craft/activity area, the many photo booths available, and the sheep and goat breed display that will keep the whole family entertained. There will also be educational booths and displays for guests. While you are there, don’t forget to try everyone’s favorite activity, the Spinning Wheel of Prizes!
